SOPHIE KEEGAN
Sophie Keegan crafts modern memoirs of a wonderfully eclectic life. Born in London, raised in Sydney and now based in Europe. Sophie travelled extensively as a child where she inherited a love of art, culture, and design. After studying fine art in London and training as a goldsmith in Sydney. Sophie completed her Diploma in Gemmology at the GAA, before moving to Paris. She started her jewellery career in the design studio at one of Place Vendôme’s most prestigious maisons Chaumet, under the wings of Beatrice de Plinval, where she discovered at an early age her love of fine jewellery and handcraft. During this time in Paris, Sophie designed a rope inspired chain link for the luxury maison, Hermès. She then moved to London and started her own namesake brand in Notting Hill, where she made bespoke jewllery for the local clientele, and worked with goldsmiths and stone setters in the East end of London. Handcraft and quality being the core of her brand.
After taking time to enjoy having a large family, Sophie stepped back into the world of jewellery. Sophie loves to create sophisticated, timeless jewellery realised with exceptional traditional craftsmanship. Sophie’s signature designs are as elegantly understated as the jeweller herself and her international clientete. Her diamond-set Monogram initials have gained a cult following, and her rope Bobble rings combine playful movement with an impeccable finish. Every piece is handmade in a fourth-generation workshop from 18ct gold, responsibly sourced diamonds and gemstones. Sophie loves to create bespoke pieces with clinets and her jewellery is stocked at Alex Eagle in London, Lodenfrey in Munich, Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland and Estelle Manor in Oxfordshire. Sophie’s mission is to create timeless, precious and well made jewellery that is crafted to last a lifetime.
